Open Letter to Pastors and Christian Leaders,

You know the event in Mark 4:35-41 when the disciples out of fear of the terrific storm woke Jesus up. He got up and spoke peace to the storm; he said to the winds and the waves, “Peace be still” and the winds and waves flattened and the storm was perfectly stilled. Jesus also said to his disciples, and by extension to us, that we would do even greater works in his name (John 14:12). We will do greater things than He had done, when we do them for the glory of God, in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the authority that Christ has committed to his Church. And now we have this pandemic and I want to encourage all of you to speak peace to this present storm—to make a declaration prayer to the corona virus in your state and country so to speak. As representatives and ambassadors for Christ in your state and your country, pray, “Peace be still” to this virus; “thus far and no further!”  “the Lord rebuke you!” “you shall not pass!” Imagine a border line around your state and country and evict this virus from your state and country in Jesus name; evict it not to the surrounding lands, but into the depths of the sea, destroyed and effecting humanity no more. Even as the winds and the waves still know His name, the virus knows His name as well. God is waiting for us to “stand in the gap” for our state and country so that he won’t have to judge us any further. Let us be the ones to make that stand. Many speak of the tremendous numbers who will die according to the models and statistics, but they have left God out of the equation. I pray that the glory of God will be known throughout the globe through God’s intervention in bringing an immediate end to this virus in answer to our prayers. Pray too for healing for those most vulnerable who have the disease; again stand in the gap for those who are sick. Certainly 2 Chronicles 7:13, 14 gives further guidance to us as His church: If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways,

then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
